Job Title Quality Assurance Coordinator Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Coordinator to assist in developing and managing food safety and quality programs to ensure compliance to regulatory and customer standards in a fast growing, highly successful food manufacturing company Mia Products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs: GMPs, SQF, HACCP. •Act as SQF Practitioner •Evaluate and assist in developing and maintaining internal product specifications and process standards. •Maintain supplier documentation, ingredient specifications and performance criteria. •Assist senior management in maintaining HACCP, SQF program objectives and goals. •Implement quality assurance programs that effectively ensure manufacturing process meet Good Manufacturing, HACCP and all Food Safety requirements. •Participate and contribute to continuous improvement of departmental procedures and policies. •Maintain food safety prerequisite programs for the facility •Interact with customer auditors and ensure execution of corrective actions •Assist in investigating and responding to customer complaints. REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: •3-years Food Safety/ Quality experience preferred •Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or related field. •Certifications and/or work experience in Food Safety and HAACP REQUIRED SKILLS: •Ability to work in a fast paced and high performing environment. •Exceptional organizational skills & ability to manage multiple projects and assignments. •Strong communication skills: interpersonal, presentation, oral and written. •Highly motivated, critical thinker, goal oriented and easily adapts to change. •Experienced in product testing, quality and sensory analysis. •Computer Skills: Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Power Point.
